Real cosy family like atmosphere
close to all amenities. friendly. staff were outstanding in all areas of hotel. this makes a good hotel. decor needs a face lift in bedrooms. food lovely.
loved my stay. as above.
I found the hotel relatively easy to find, the receptionist when checking in was so friendly and helpful. Overall I found the hotel very comfortable and very quiet.
There was one locked cabinet in my room but I had no way of opening same. While I booked an executive room I was not of the opinion that this was an executive type room but that was ok.
temple gate is a lovely hotel, not too big but not too small. very clean and well furbished. our room was spacious and very clean.its location if fantastic, right in the centre of ennis.we have rebooked for our next visit already.when i asked for a late check out there was no problem at all.
our first visit i thought the receptionist was a little distatnt, a young woman. and the cover on our bed was faded but thats all. really it was a veryenjoyable stay
This Hotel was ideal due to the location & distance of the main town features & entertainment. Located within walking distance of everything it was a great place to visit. Friendly people & friendly enviroment meant a great holiday all round. Would totally recommend & will definately re-visit.
The kitchen staff kindly provided sandwiches late at night, as we had missed dinner. This was done willingly and without any fusss. Staff were also most helpful with directions, etc..
Our room and bathroom could do with a little tlc - not dirty but a little worn at the edges - some rust on bathroom shower curtain, toilet slow to flush.
Location was excellent and good price on room
Room should have been cleaner. Sticky surfaces on lockers not acceptable
The receptionist was very kind and helpful also the night security man was very nice.
I was so disappointed with the hotel. I went down for a relaxing night but unfortunately we were put in a room that was on the ground floor and was unable to sleep due the the noise of the night clubbers outside our window waiting for taxi's till 5 a.m. !!! The room was so sufficatting hot we had the window opened slightly in which somebody threw an open bottle of coke in the window at us!!! Also the room decor was very poor and the bed side lamps did not work!!! The bathroom shower did not work properly it seemed like it was clogged with lime or something like that, also the bath had seen better days. Over all i was absolutely disgusted and i dont complain easily! Paid 69 euro for this experience
The location was fantastic, the price was reasonable, the room was comfortable.
I was glad that I already knew the area as there was no attempt to offer suggestions on where to go for food or entertainment, it might be an idea to offer more in the way of local information for future guests.
Friendly staff. Good hotel menu. Free car parking outside hotel. Good breakfast. Cosy heated rooms.
Locating hotel can be difficult. Suggest clearer signs as you get into Ennis. You might end up in the one way traffic system in the town. No problem with hotel.
High quality room, excellent bar and nice restaurant. Very helpful staff who enabled us to check in very early when our flight was cancelled.
I didn't think the quality of the evening meal lived up to the billing of the restaurant. That's not to say that th emeal was bad, just not special.
The staff were always helpful and friendly.
Door being locked after 12.30. We were not warned about this as part of the check in process, so were bewildered to find ourselves locked out the first night, and did not realise at first that we needed to ring the bell on the car park entrance to be let in. I understand the reasons for this, but it should be fully explained to guests when checking in.
The girl on reception was friendly, helpful and very easy to deal with. Location was perfect for Ennis town.
The room decor was a little outdated and the lighting in the room wasn't great for getting ready (applying make-up etc.)
Location of Hotel
Food expensive and bar prices off the scale, proper rip off.Room carpet old and filthy needs good steam cleaning.
Excellent value for money and right in the centre of Ennis town.
